Tip #3: Have Conversations with your Neighbors.
This tip may seem obvious, and for some of you, it may be very easy to live out. But for many people, talking to their neighbors is not something they do naturally or frequently.
If we make the effort to talk to our neighbors when we see them walking their dogs or pulling weeds in their gardens, it can make our neighborhoods much more enjoyable places to live. We can be more informed about the circumstances our neighbors are facing, and this can lead to opportunities to offer help and support. If a neighbor just broke her leg, she probably isn’t able to mow her lawn herself, and offering to help might be a better option than getting frustrated. By talking with the people who live near us, we can build these relationships and seek to support and be supported by our neighbors.
