On Saturday, March 29th, IPFW organized their 2nd annual Big Event which mobilized over 1,100 students, staff, and alumni into Fort Wayne to help over 50 local nonprofit organizations with their projects. We were one of those 50 nonprofit organizations and we were able to accomplish two NeighborLink projects. One team did a moving project for an elderly couple and the other group did a massive cleaning project for a lady who couldn't physically do the bigger cleaning projects in her home.
Students bring such enthusiasm and energy to our organization's project, and we're always excited to harness that energy for good at our organization. We couldn't have done the projects without the leadership of Jeff Shatto, our Director of Mobilization, and longtime Advisory Group member, Milisa Johnson and her neighbor that she recruited to help lead one of the projects.
Thank you students and know that you're always welcome to volunteer with us!
