People have been noticing what our volunteers have been up to at NeighborLink Fort Wayne and the other NeighborLink's around the State of Indiana. Because of that, we've been asked to present our story and philosophy on community development from a grassroots, collective impact perspective at the IACED and the IHCDA conference on October 1st.
This is the tenth year for the Indiana Association for Community Economic Development (IACED) and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) to co-host a conference focused on important issues and new ideas for building resilient families and revitalizing and sustaining communities. The conference is scheduled for September 29 -- October 1, 2014, and in 2013, nearly 600 community developers participated in this conference.
We're honored for the opportunity and have all of you to thank. We'll be telling the story that you, our supporters and volunteers, are writing every day and every project. The reality is that collective impact only happens when we all engage, not just an organization.
We'll keep you posted on how it goes!
