We've been hard at work on the website and have a whole list of updates for everyone. Please read over the list and let us know what you think. We also need feedback from our members.
Volunteers and admins can now copy a recipient's information from an existing project and apply it to a new one. This is a bit of a productivity boost if you need to add multiple projects for a single recipient, add a new project for someone you've helped in the past, etc. When adding a project, you'll see a new "Copy recipient from your last posted project" action, which automatically fills-out the form. In addition, if you're looking at any project, a "Copy Recipient to New Project" button is available.
Facebook/Twitter "share" buttons appear on all project pages. These allow users to share projects on their own social media accounts.
Volunteers are now sent an email when they coach a new project. Volunteers will receive access to the project waiver as well as some next steps they should take to effectively manage that project.
The project "Printable Report" is back. When you're logged in and viewing a project you're coaching, a "Print" button now shows up on the bottom right. This will automatically prompt you to print a page, formatted specifically for on-paper. It will include all project details, volunteer info, discussions, etc. You can also access the Volunteer Resources page.
Project photos can now be deleted. If you're the coach or an admin, a red "-" button shows up below the gallery thumbnails. A project photo can now be promoted as the "primary photo" for a project as well. This will makes it appear above the project description text, but only if a video is not also used. To make it primary, another button (a green "+") also appears under the gallery thumbnails.
The project Photos/Discussion bars now have icons to draw more attention to them. They're faded if no discussion/photos are available, but are highlighted green when content is available.
"View Projects" now shows a few links on the top right. These will be used for pre-determined searches, such as "New/Need-Coached Projects" and "Projects Needing Volunteers". As always, you can also use the Search box to search by any key words. Try entering "Leaves" to find all the projects that have leaves in the description.
We introduced a new "Statistics" page. A link for it was added to "More Info" as well as the Dashboard. For any user, this shows the yearly # of projects completed by both project type and by zip code.
All of these major updates plus many, many other small updates that fix bugs or user experience issues. If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact us.
