We've added a new function that allows you to search for specific project types and then create a map based on those projects. This works great for snow removal projects as well as any projects that volunteers want to do multiples of in the same day.
We'd love see some of you do this and let us know how you like this feature. Some of our more dedicated volunteers are finding this to be extremely helpful.
Once logged in, navigate within the toolbar to find the "Search For Projects" button. Click that.
Once you're on the search for projects page, you can use the icons to navigate to the snow removal projects, or you can use the Advanced Search boxes.
Scroll down and find the Project Status bar, click that and only select "New/Needs Coach" tab. Then, go to Project Type bar and scroll down to find the Snow Removal projects or the project type you're looking for. Hit Submit New Search when finished.
It will give you a page that only has snow removal projects on it. You can search this to find projects with the desired zip code. You can even sort this list by clicking on the options in the white toolbar. If you look up in the right corner about the Advanced Search, you can see a yellow button that says "View on Map." Click that and it'll give you a map.
This is a map that shows you all the snow removal projects. As you can see, you can click on each dot to see the project details and connect to the project. The best part is that if you're going out for an hour or two, you could easily select those bottom three projects and do them all at once.
Also, don't forget that we now have an Android App that can do the same thing on the go. iPhone app coming soon. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neighborlink.android
