Hi, my name is Elisa Layton and I am thrilled to join the NeighborLink team! I have been in Fort Wayne for almost 5 years now and have grown to call it my home. I moved to Fort Wayne after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in Selling and Sales Management.
While living in Fort Wayne I have had the joy of serving our community by working with Blue Jacket, Inc. and Fort Wayne Habitat for Humanity. I have always enjoyed roles that allow me to come alongside others and help them reach their goals and dreams. NeighborLink excites me as it provides the opportunity for our community to come together, engage relationally, and work with participants to meet their tangible needs and/or bigger skilled labor needs all in the name of Jesus.
My husband, Derek, and I met at The Chapel and are actively involved there. We serve together in the nursery, on the GO Day committee, being a host family for SpringHill staff, and by leading a Life Group. In addition, I serve on the Women???s Ministries leadership team, facilitate monthly Women???s Ministries dinners, and sing on the Saturday night worship team. Derek and I love to serve in our church and see our friends and community come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior or grow in their current relationship with Him.
I look forward to meeting many of you who are engaged with NeighborLink (or curious about learning more!) in the next several months. Thank you to the many of you who volunteer and support our organization. NeighborLink couldn???t build community development and engage the church without you.
If you would like to help me get even more acclimated to my role and the organization, please reach out to me at elisa@nlfw.org. I welcome the opportunity to meet you, learn about you and your engagement with NeighborLink, and discuss how we can take NeighborLink to the next level together!
