This morning I had the priveledge of premiering two videos our intern, Ryan, put together to tell the story of the Grub & Go Guys seen above. Grub & Go is a group of retired, unemployed, or underemployed men who choose to spend time giving back to the Fort Wayne, IN community by primarily taking NeighborLink Fort Wayne projects. The 25 guys completed over 300 projects in 2011 alone.
Grub and go was birthed out of Fellowship Missionary Church on Fort Wayne's south side after many of these men were looking for ways to stay engaged beyond the church's one Saturday a month GO Days. The group is now made up of men, and occasionally their wives, from all over the Fort Wayne area. Some driving 20+ minutes to join them every Tuesday and Thursday morning for breakfast, fellowship, and service until around noon.
Here are two videos that tell their story and the story of one of the leaders. I hope you enjoy hearing their story.
