We want to extend a thank you to Brookside Church, Pine Hills Church, The River Church, and Granite Ridge who partnered with us throughout August and took on their own service events to help around 42 neighbors in need. They mowed lawns, did cleaning projects, painted houses inside and out, ripped up carpet, repaired a roof, installed wheelchair ramps, and did other various yard and house projects.
It may feel like 42 only scratches the surface of the need, but change requires patience and dedication.
The work we do here is not something we can accomplish on our own. In fact, we can't accomplish any of it without volunteers and partners who are willing to soak up and live out what "loving your neighbor" challenges us to do. We will continue helping neighbor after neighbor as the big picture of changing our community comes to life more each day. We are deeply grateful to those who are with us for different parts of the process and are committed to what we hope to accomplish.
We also want to note that for the two service events we hosted this month, we were able to paint about 13 fire hydrants along Coliseum Blvd. Keep an eye out for some fresh-looking hydrants.
Sign up as a volunteer and join us in changing our community one neighbor at a time.
