Congratulations Jeff Shatto, our director of volunteer mobilization, on meeting your goal of 700 completed projects in 2016. Jeff has worked tremendously hard to hit this goal by the end of the year. Beyond Jeff's hard work, are the countless volunteers all year that mobilized themselves to help neighbors in need to all kinds of projects. Hundreds of yard work projects, 35 exterior painting projects, 13 roof projects, 47 wheelchair ramp repairs or new builds, and over a dozen other project categories had projects completed in.
This work is more than numbers as each project represents a different person receiving the help they didn't think they would get. For instance, this picture is of a home of a senior citizen that needed their driveway cleared in order to receive food from Meals on Wheels. Had we not been able to do this project, this homeowner would not have received the evening meals they rely on. Something as simple as clearing snow can mean the world to someone who cannot do it.
Thank you for joining us in removing the barriers between need and assistance for 700 practical, neighbor-to-neighbor expressions of God's love.
