Hello people of NeighborLink. My name is Jonathan. I am senior from Blackhawk Christian School. I have just begun my semester of internship here at NeighborLink Fort Wayne. A little bit about myself I attended Garrett High School during my first two years of high school, then I returned to Blackhawk Christian to finish my high school career. I plan to attend Purdue University’s School of Engineering this fall after working another summer at an awesome Christian family resort in upstate New York. I’m not a big sports guy, but I do play frisbee, ski, and shoot archery. I enjoy camping, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. I work both as a tutor and as the scoreboard operator at my school.
I first learned of this organization through a friend, Andrew Schnurr, who is also interning here with me. He told be about some of the things he and his family have done with NeighborLink and how great of an organization it is. After hearing about it, I was eager to intern at such a dedicated place. I always loved helping people out and thought this would be a fantastic opportunity to help out and also see some of things that go behind running an organization that directs community service. I am excited to learn how things operate, how to encourage people to help each other, and how I can be of optimum assistance to those who need help. I look forward to helping with projects and working with other coaches and volunteers. I am very excited to see how God works during my time here at NeighborLink.
Have a great day and God bless, Jonathan Purdy
