Remember these lovely ladies? The pair of them gave up their Birthdays in order to raise funds for a washer and dryer. We are proud to announce that we rasied the funds, and bought the appliances just yesterday! :)
I am amazed at how much technology catapults the mission of NL. More and more projects can be completed because of both our video story telling and our crowd-funding tool. Today, Bethany (fellow intern) directed me towards the Huffington Post’s Social Justice section for a little inspiration on what to write about. While browsing, I stumbled upon an article entitled, How Crowd Funding Made Social Justice Cool. It is quite the fitting article with our recent news! I encourage the read.
Thanks be to God for this crowd funding tool that allows NeighborLink to complete projects that seem impossible to tackle. Alison Eby Gerardot & Christy Landrigan are a testament to that with raising $400 for a project. Thanks again you two!
Let the Celebration begin!! Wahoo!
