This past weekend I had an amazing time paddling down the river with 4 other amazing NeighborLink volunteers for the Three Rivers Raft Race! We paddled a 2-mile route that started at Swinney Park and finished at the MLK Bridge. Traveling in style, we floated down the river on a raft shaped as a house. Thanks to Aaron Makin for engineering such a beautiful house!
Over the course of the route we encountered water balloons, Vikings, boxers, and more! Every raft exhibited its own piece of flair, while each rider was excited to make the trek to the finish line. After while, our team decided it would be fun to get the crowd involved with a NeighborLink cheer! At each bridge we would do a chant followed by an impressive 360 turn. Needless to say, it was great day to spend with the Fort Wayne community as well as the NeighborLink community.
Thank you to all who came out to support! To view pictures from the day click here.
